As Fall Reps, you would: 
-Promote Into the Streets’ Days of Service to all Cornell students. 
-Work with all board members to help coordinate the event.
-Develop leadership skills.
-Become more involved with community service!

 

Co-President: Michelle Tu

Michelle Tu is a senior from the San Francisco Bay Area studying Human Biology, Health, and Society. She started out as one of the Team Leader Coordinators for Into the Streets, which she joined her freshman year as one of the Fall Representatives. On campus, she is also involved with alpha Kappa Delta Phi and works as a research assistant for the Affect and Cognition Lab, and outside of school she enjoys hiking, painting, and exploring flea markets!

 

 

 

Co-President: Margaret Jia

Margaret is a junior from Northeast Ohio majoring in Chemistry and Chemical Biology and minoring in German Studies and Biological Sciences. This is her third year on the Into the Streets Board. She is also a part of the Cohen Lab and is President of Make-A-Wish at Cornell. She is excited to pursue her passion for community service and and help facilitate the collaboration between the Cornell and Tompkins County communities.

 

Agency Coordinator: Jenny Swift

Jenny is a junior in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations from Phoenix, Arizona. This is her first year with Into the Streets but she has been involved with various community service projects and non-profits throughout her life. Jenny is also a member of the ILR Student Government Association and is looking forward to making a difference both on campus and in her new home of Ithaca.

 

Agency Coordinator: Vanessa Roga

Vanessa Roga is a sophomore in the ILR School with minors in Inequality Studies, Law and Society, and Business. Vanessa joined Into the Streets her freshman year as the freshman representative and is now an agency coordinator and treasurer. On campus Vanessa works in Catherwood Library; she is also the vice president of outreach for ILR Women's Caucus, a member of ILR Student Government's Alumni Affairs Committee, and head of alumni relations for her sorority Alpha Xi Delta. She has been heavily involved in community service for years now including organizing various donation campaigns such as food drives, toy drives, and a campaign for hair donation for wigs for children with cancer.

 

Agency Coordinator: Meera Kattapuram

Meera is a senior from Bethesda, Maryland majoring in Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences. This is her first year as a member of the Into the Streets Executive Board. On campus, she is involved with the Finkelstein lab, Phi Delta Epsilon, and Cornell Health International. She is looking forward to serving both Cornell and the Ithaca community.

 

 

 

Agency Coordinator: Julia Allen (abroad)

Julia Allen is a junior studying ILR with minors in business and creative writing. She became a member of the ITS Board because she enjoys helping others find projects they are passionate about. Outside of ITS, she co-leads the Entrepreneurship@Dyson website team, works at ILR's Office of Career Services, and is a brother of APO.

 

 

Team Leader Coordinator: Ashley Kim

Ashley is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Chemistry and Chemical Biology and minoring in Biological Sciences. This is her third year with Into the Streets, and she hopes to continue her previous experience in leading and initiating numerous community service projects around Ithaca. Along with her involvement with Into the Streets, Ashley is also a part of the Service Team of Alpha Phi Omega. She is looking forward to serving both the Cornell and Ithaca communities with like-minded volunteers for this upcoming school year. 

 

Team Leader Coordinator: Esther Tsyngauz

Esther is a junior in the College of Human Ecology, majoring in Human Development. She hopes to pursue a career in medicine. She participated in the Into theStreets event her freshman year and joined the Into the Streets board because of her love for community service and commitment to helping the community.  On campus, she is also a member of the PATCH Science Kits Committee. She is excited to work together with the board and students of Cornell to give back to the community.

 

Team Leader Coordinator: Niagara Pal

Niagara is a junior in the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Her interest in the program peaked from her love of community service. She hopes that this event will give her the opportunity to work with other students who are passionate about volunteering. Niagara is also involved in the Society for Women in Business, and is an active member of the Cornell Taekwondo Team.

 

 

Evaluations Coordinator: Rochelle Tsemekhin

Rochelle is a senior in the College of Human Ecology, majoring in Human development and hoping to pursue a career in medicine upon completion of her undergraduate studies. This will be her second year on the Into the Streets Executive Board as an Evaluations Coordinator. Rochelle is also involved in PATCH and is an undergraduate research assistant in the Lab for Rational Decision Making. She is looking forward to working alongside other passionate individuals to give back to the Ithaca community.
