General Body Workshops: These are our weekly meetings where we do a variety of activities from 6-week Positive Psychology workshops with lectures and small group discussions to inviting faculty and staff to present on an area of expertise such as body image or relationships.
Creative Arts for Health and Well-being: Attend all sessions, or just come to one or two, using beautiful creative arts materials for personal growth and well-being. The sessions are free, all materials provided.
Feel Good Fridays: An informal lunch discussion series where faculty, staff, community members, and students are invited to lead a discussion and answer questions with students over free lunch on their area of expertise such as sleep, bipolar disorder, etc.
Procrastinate at the Straight: CMM organizes this event in WSH one Wednesday per month and brings activities such as free massage, arts and crafts, Cornell Tea Club, harpist, and Cornell Companions to provide an opportunity for students to relax mid-week.
Zumba and Yoga: Free weekly Zumba, a Latin hip-hop exercise dance party, or yoga.
Leave of Absence Group: A new series this funding cycle offering a support group for students returning from a leave of absence to meet and discuss specific stresses that students returning from leave face.
Social Events: Every weekend, CMM hosts 2 social events that provide students who may lack transportation or are new with the opportunity to explore Cornell campus, Ithaca, and the surrounding areas and meet new people. Eg. ScienceCenter, Taughannock Park, Dilmun Hill
Healthy and Disordered Eating: Do you or someone you know struggle with disordered eating, an eating disorder, or issues related to body image, food, or exercise? Cornell Minds Matter brings you guest speakers to talk about a range of topics that will help you better understand and tackle challenges that you or your loved ones may face. Speakers include Cornell alumni, local clinicians, professors, authors, and people with personal experience. The series is on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm in the Willard Straight International Lounge.
