Co-Program Coordinator - Aleena Kurumunda

Aleena Kurumunda is a senior Mechanical Engineer interested in the design and development of prosthetics. She used to love spending time with her grandparents growing up, and she loves CEP as a way of reconnecting with members of the elderly community and hearing about their stories. In addition to CEP, she works at the Cornell Annual Fund and is the Operations VP of Alpha Xi Delta.

Co-Program Coordinator – Anita Kottapalli

Anita Kottapalli is a senior in the College of Human Ecology, majoring in Human Biology, Health and Society with a minor in gerontology.  She finds Elderly Partnership’s mission to foster mutual learning between students and elders in the Ithaca community so important after her experience working in a nursing home as a Certified Nurse Aide in her hometown.  Anita is looking forward to now serve as the Co-Program Coordinator for Elderly Partnership this year. On campus, she is also a part of GlobeMed at Cornell, National Health Preprofessional Honor Society Alpha Epsilon Delta, Sigma Delta Tau sorority, and Human Ecology Ambassadors.

Activities Coordinator - Erin Grohe

Erin Grohe is a senior human development, pre-med student, minoring in anthropology and dance. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Erin has found a home away from home in Ithaca as well as in CEP. This will be Erin’s third year serving as Activities Coordinator, though she has been with Cornell Elderly Partnership since her freshman fall. When not planning crafts and activities for our elderly companions, Erin can be found giving campus tours, tutoring Boynton middle school students, salsa dancing in Palante Latin Dance Troupe, and assisting in first year orientation. Her primary areas of interest include art, human interaction (particularly that of young children and the elderly), distance running, international culture (especially that of Spanish-speaking countries), and dance. She is also the executive director of Cornell’s own Dance Marathon: Big Red Thon, a dance-centered fundraising event entering its third year this fall. In the future, Erin aspires to be a pediatric physician working for a world relief agency such as Doctors Without Borders.

Outreach Coordinator - Arielle Hollies

Arielle Hollies is a senior in the College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in sociology and minoring in inequality studies, Spanish, and music. She first joined the Cornell Elderly Partnership in the spring of her freshman year and has loved getting to know the residents of Cayuga Ridge and spending time with them every week. She is also a member of the Cornell University Chorus and After Eight A Cappella and plans to pursue social justice work after graduation.
