Cornell Sober Housing Inc.
Looking for a place to live, clean & sober?
Now Renting for the 2016-17 Academic Year
The Sober Housing Initiative was formed out of a demand for housing from students who arrive or are returning to Cornell after experiencing problems with substance abuse, have been in treatment, and are committed to living sober lives.
216 Dearborn Place opened officially in Fall of 2016 as Cornell's first cooperative Sober House, and is now accepting tenants. This spacious 10 bedroom North Campus house provides housing to students who self-identify as being in recovery from alcoholism and other addictions and who would like to live with others who can relate, be supportive and enjoy college without the hassle of needing to explain or defend the choice of a sober lifestyle. With the intention of serving students in recovery, 216 Dearborn Place also welcomes tenants who are abstinent from drugs and alcohol to join our community. Room rent ranges from $700-$775/room inclusive of all utilities.
