The Translator-Interpreter Program (TIP) at the Cornell Public Service Center trains bilingual and multilingual Cornell students and staff to serve as volunteer translators/interpreters for community agencies in emergency and non-emergency situations. Certified by Cornell language faculty members, our TIP translators and interpreters have been serving over 300 community agencies in Tompkins County and surrounding areas since 2000.

Translator Interpreter Program (TIP) is a student-run program that addresses the language needs of the Cornell and Ithaca communities. TIP trains its interpreters and translators for emergency and non-emergency situations in the Ithaca and Tompkins County communities. TIP seeks volunteers from the Cornell and Ithaca communities to act as translators/interpreters in emergency and on-emergency situations.
